Unable to sleep, Crow goes on a late night walk to clear her head, running into some unlikely company along the way. The samurai then make their final push into the forest, where Crow is forced to confront a past from which she can no longer run.

The samurai return to Kitsune Mori Mura to report their findings to Torokai and Toshio. Crow sets out to return the rescued foxes to their homes, and in the process meets someone quite unexpected.
Daiyu, Atsu, and Crow resume their search for poachers in the forest. Things don't go as planned, and they soon make a grim discovery with unsettling implications.
After searching the poachers' camp for clues, Daiyu, Atsu, and Crow return to Kitsune Mori Mura to tend to wounds and report their findings to Kitsune Toshio.
The samurai reconvene following Crow's early morning venture into the woods, then set out in pursuit of the kitsune poachers.
